David Morrison is the
President and founder of Involvement Systems, Inc., the Dallas Branch
of Idea Connections. He is an international consultant with 21 years
of industry experience as a productivity consultant. David combines
his engineering background with a strong people orientation to help
organizations make long term productive change. He managed a productivity
effort for Frito-Lay, Inc. which contributed more than $700 million
in productivity savings over six years.
David has consulted for
many Fortune 100 companies including Nabisco, Exxon, Kodak, PepsiCo,
R.J. Reynolds, Frito-Lay, Polaroid, and Prudential. David has consulted,
coached, and trained all levels of organizations including CEO's and
hourly employees. He has worked in a variety of settings such as plant
start-ups, corporate offices, union environments and participative management

of 26% after eight weeks of a new sales program.

David's most unique skill
is implementing productivity efforts that produce both long and short-term
results. He has conducted research in conjunction with the Center for
Research in Applied Creativity on how to achieve "Stickability"
of training in organizations. He works with clients to assess organizational
needs and then designs and delivers training when appropriate. David
trains in the areas of leadership skills, facilitation/consulting skills,
creative thinking/problem solving, team building, feedback and coaching
To help organizations
improve productivity, David also facilitates group meetings. He has
facilitated thousands of meetings on a broad range of topics. David
facilitates meetings on a volunteer basis for various nonprofit groups
in the Dallas area and is also on the board of directors for P.O.I.N.T
(Paraplegics On Independent Nature Trips).
David has a BS and Master's
degree in Industrial Engineering. He is an Adjunct Instructor at the
Center for Creative Leadership and is on the faculty at the Creative
Education Foundation. David has published various works on creativity
and materials handling.
As an entrepreneur, David
has applied his management and creativity skills over the last 22 years
to start four different businesses. During his leisure time, he is physically
active, completing 31 marathons and two ultra marathons (50 miles).
